Roughly ten years after its founding, and one year after securing a UNESCO City of Design designation for Detroit, DC3 (Detroit Creative Corridor Center) had outgrown their name and their initial vision of building up a corridor of creative density. As DC3 took on stewardship of the UNESCO designation and refined and expanded their services, they needed help clarifying and focusing their role within the design community. We uncovered that they are, and have always been, 'The Champion of Detroit Design'. With such a strong conviction as that, we were able to develop a truly energized and distinctive new visual identity and name that created a clear focus on their main priority—amplifying Detroit design. Today, DC3 is known as Design Core.
